Communication Revolution - do employers really benefit?
Date: Wed, Sep 16th, 2009 6:00:10 pm | Location: Lecture Theatre LT1, Imperial College Business School, South Kensington, London SW7 2AZ | Speaker: Drew Spencer, Euro RSCG Riley and Speaker from ASDA
It goes without saying that the greatest revolution in the last 20 years has been in the area of communications. Who would have anticipated the massive growth in social networking sites even 5 years ago?
What has been less well debated has been the impact that this revolution has had on the behaviour of large employers and their methods of communicating with employees, customers and other stakeholders. Communications with these groups has now become so sophisticated that strategic development in this area has become an industry in itself.
Every organisation has its own approach and best practice is still evolving and will continue to do so. However, ASDA has conducted research and done some pioneering work on recruitment and human resource management, using technology as a means strategic tool to aid its recruitment drive.
The Society is privileged to welcome Drew Spencer, who masterminded this project in conjunction with ASDA, to share the results of the research and some of the problems involved in the implementation.
The presentation will run from 6.30 - 7.45, and will be preceded by drinks from 6.00 pm and will be followed by networking and refreshments. The evening will finish at 9.00 pm.
We should like to thank Imperial College Business School for their sponsorship and support for this event.
